About Sai Baba

Sai Baba is a popular spiritual master followed by devotees all over the works, also called as Fakir or Saint. People also praise him as god who lived with humans in modern era. Sai Baba was followed by both Hindu and Muslim devotes, during and after his life. The main teaching of Sai baba is self-love, helping others, love towards perishable things, inner peace, charity and trust towards the god and guru. He stressed all his devotees to surrender to the true saint – who lead discipline by flowing the jungle training.

Shridi Sai Baba believed all religion and cast are same, his teaching includes elements of both Islam and Hinduism and he named Dwarakamayi to the mosque, practiced bother Hindu and Muslim rituals. Sai Baba’s date of birth and location remains unknown. Most of the information’s available now are gathered from a book called Sai Satcharitra, written by a Sai Baba followed called Annasaheb Dabholkar, also called as Govind Raghunath / Hemadpant. Real name of Sai Baba also remains unknown; this name was given to him Mhalsapati, when he arrived to Shridi – a small town located in the West Maharashtra.

Early Days:

Sai baba was born to Muslim parents with name of Haribhau Bhusari and raised under the Hindu Guru, Venkusa of Selu. Sai Baba arrived to Shridi, Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra when he was sixteen and disappeared for 3 years. Later in 1858, he came back to Shirdi, after the Indian Rebellion of 1857. Some claimed he fought with the army of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

Return to Shridi:

Sai Baba returned to Shirdi in 1858, he first appeared at Khandoba Mandir in Shirdi. The priest Mahalsapati welcomed his as saying “Aao Sai”, from then he was called as Sai Baba. After his arrival, he spend most of the time under the neem tree, wandering in the jungle. Then, he started to live in dilapidated mosque, survived by begging alms from the visitors. Shirdi Sai Baba offered spiritual teaching to his visitors; he recommended Hindu’s to read Ramayana and Bhagavat Gita and Holy Quran to the Muslims.

In 1910, Sai Baba fame and new about his healing powers started to spread in Mumbai and several parts of India. Hundreds of people started to visit home to get blessings. In the year 1918, Shirdi Sai Baba told to his devotee that he would leave his body soon. Later, he had heavy fever and stopped eating. On 15 October 1918, he breathed his last, the date coincided with Vijayadashami. He was buried in Shirdi, later it become worship place called as Shree Samadhi Mandir or Shirdi Sai Baba Temple.

Sai Baba Teaching and Practices:

Sai baba encourage his devotes to follow their traditions, read holy books like Quran and Bhagavad Gita. He told his followers to follow simple life, helping others and loving every being without any discrimination. In his teaching, Sai Baba highlighted the prominence performing his duties and being faithful irrespective of the situation. His attitude also had many rudiments of bhakti. There are three main Hindu spiritual paths — Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, and Jnana Yoga — influenced by his teachings, Sai Baba Answers.

Sai Baba Answers fame started to raise during the 19th century and regardless s the popular Saint among Hindu pilgrimage. First Sai Baba was temple was built at Kudal, Sindhudurg in the year 1922. Now Shridi Temple is visited by 25,000 pilgrims and during festivals, thus number reach up to 100,000.   • If you are wealthy, be humble. Plants bend when they bear fruit.

  • What is our duty? To behave properly. That is enough. God is not so far away. He is not in the heavens above, nor in hell below. He is always near you. If you cannot endure abuse from another,just say a simple word or two, or else leave. I stay by the side of whoever repeats my name.
  • Do not be obsessed by egotism, imagining that you are the cause of action: everything is due to God.
  • Do not fight with anyone, nor retaliate, nor slander anyone.
  • All gods are one. There is no difference between a Hindu and a Muslim. Mosque and temple are the same.
  • When you see with your inner eye. Then you realize that you are God and not different from Him.
  • To God be the praise. I am only the slave of God.
  • Choose friends who will stick to you till the end, through thick and thin
